My name is Alexander Karl Michael Richter and I am a Professor for Information Systems at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. I am currently the Academic Leader of the Executive MBA Programme at Victoria Business School and  the Director of the Master of Professional Business Analysis Programme run by the School of Information Management.

Prior to that I was Associate Professor at the IT University of Copenhagen and head of the research unit “Digital Work Design” at the University of Zurich. Over the last 10 years, I was involved with more than 30 projects with leading companies and research institutes aiming to contribute to the design of digital workplaces. For example, I was leading the requirements analysis in the major European project “Worker-Centric Workplaces for Smart Factories” from 2014 to 2018 and facilitated change projects for companies like Allianz, Airbus, Bayer and Bosch.

My research interests evolve around Enterprise social networks, Innovation management, Knowledge work practices, Digital work design, Sociotechnical solutions, Virtual leadership, Information systems evaluation.
