Intro

My name is Alexander Karl Michael Richter and I am a (Full) Professor for Information Systems at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. I am currently the Academic Leader of the Executive MBA Programme and the Director of the Master of Professional Business Analysis Programme.

Prior to joining Wellington University, I was Associate Professor at IT University of Copenhagen and head of the research unit “Digital Work Design” at University of Zurich. I did my PhD (and was later research team lead) at Bundeswehr University Munich and was also a Visiting Researcher at Sydney University where I am still a member of their digital disruption research group.

My research interests evolve around #EnterpriseSocialNetworks #Innovation #KnowledgeWork #DigitalWorkDesign #Sociotechnical #VirtualLeadership #WorkPractices and #InformationSystemsEvaluation.

Over the last 10 years, I was involved in more than 30 projects with leading companies and research institutes aiming to contribute to the design of digital workplaces. For example, I was leading the requirements analysis in the major European project “Worker-Centric Workplaces for Smart Factories” from 2014 to 2018 and facilitated change projects with companies like Allianz, Airbus, Bayer, BMW and Bosch.

You can find my recent publications on Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
